Pride month special: The AIDS Activism History Project, with Prof. Alexis Shotwell.

As we cope with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and a new outbreak of monkeypox, it's easy to forget that tens of thousands of Canadians are HIV positive, and that tens of thousands have died from AIDS. Prof. Alexis Shotwell of Carleton and Prof. Gary Kinsman were co-lead investigators of the AIDS Activist History Project (https://aidsactivisthistory.ca/) which chronicled the early days of AIDS activism in Canada. We talk about it.
