Bio: Akeem Oh (Ouellet) is a American-Canadian singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer based in Ottawa ON. His last single “Winter Crush” was released in 2018 to critical acclaim. The CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) named it one of the "Top 3 New Ontario Songs You Need To Hear“. The track was also featured in the Ottawa Run Marathon campaign videos. His work has recently been featured in multiple television movies for Lifetime, Hallmark and ION. An EP that features “School Girl” and “Winter Crush" is scheduled for 2021. Bio: Living in Canada for the past eight years and a recent citizen for two, Asuquomo is an Ottawa-based multidisciplinary artist and experimental emcee with roots from Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Over the years, Asuquomo has received positive press coverage from CBC, HotNewHipHop, Bandcamp Daily, Apt613, and FACES Magazine. His newest release ‘YAHWEH’ was placed on countless online streaming playlists including Spotify’s Editorial Playlist: Boutique Tracks, Pitchfork, and a playlist curated by Japanese record producer Toshio Matsuura. Asuquomo maintains an unmistakable and unique dexterity in both visual and auditory storytelling. Birdie's songs are witty, insightful and full of color and energy when brought to life with her band The Hidden Connections. For her upcoming full-length release, Birdie has recorded with Mike Burnelle and Ken Voita at MUSH MUSH STUDIO in New Middle Cornwall, NS and Stefan Ramey at CONQUERALL MUSIC STUDIOS in Conqerall Mills, NS. Inspired by rhythm & blues, funk, soul, and rock & roll traditions, they have crafted an organic sound that is both timeless and current, raw and refined. The band combines elements from many different genres to create songs that transcend social and cultural barriers and connect people from all walks of life. After winning the Live 88.5 Big Money Shot in 2014 The Lionyls caught the attention of music fans across the Ottawa Valley. They spent the following three years honing their craft with a non-stop performance schedule performing at landmark festivals and events including: Ottawa Bluesfest, CityFolk, HOPE Volleyball, the National Arts Centre, and Westfest, and supported some of Canada’s biggest names including: Sam Roberts, Serena Ryder, and The Trews. Finally, in April 2017 they released their self-titled debut full-length album, The Lionyls, and toured across Canada in support of the new record. In early 2018, The Lionyls returned to the studio, with a catalogue of new material.
