Tuesday, February 9th with host Claude Munson! All performers are welcome! Stand up, spoken word, singer-songwriters, acoustic groups, beginner or well-seasoned musical veterans, come sign up for a performing slot. How do open mics at Pressed work? Sign up for open mic is at 7pm, and spots are limited, so be sure to show up early to secure a performing spot. Each performance should be a maximum of 2 songs (10 minutes), but if you want to perform just one song, that is also swell. The open mic portion of the evening will start at 8pm, and run until 11. Pressed has a PA system with two mics, but please keep your set-up simple and quick. Please bring your own pick-ups for instruments, if required. Soi Dog Canada, is a non-profit organization that helps the homeless, neglected and abused dogs and cats in Thailand. To date, Soi Dog has sterilized 100,000 dogs and cats. We’re working hard to stop the horrors of the illegal dog meat trade in Asia, to help end cruelty to dogs and improve their welfare. Every year millions of dogs are tortured to death in the most nightmarish ways imaginable, before being cruelly butchered and eaten. Volunteers in Canada help Soi Dog to save thousands of dogs and provide homes for them here. We do fundraisers, events, PR and media work, social media public awareness work, foster care and adoption coordination, and much more. We do everything we can to help rescue, treat, sterilize, feed, re-home, and care for the Soi Dogs and dog meat trade dogs. We are holding a fundraiser on February 13 and 14 and will be selling Valentine’s Day cards at Global Pet Foods in Bell’s Corners.
