Documentary in MT, runs 33:41 minutes (unless it was edited down) |
There’s nothing more clichéd in Canada than talking about the weather, and for good reason.
It’s hard not to when you’re the coldest country in the world after Russia. With most of our population now living in urban centres, the cold creates a dilemma for our growing cities. How can city planners keep people happy, healthy and getting around safely when the weather can be uncomfortable and at times dangerous? People started asking that question in Edmonton a few years ago. And it led that notoriously wintry city to rethink how it confronts the cold. Brett Throop, a freelance journalist, prepared this documentary for us. |
