The second act will feature Kpanlogo Party with a number of locals guests featured on songs and drums. $10 at the door at Pressed Cafe on Sat. January 30th. Show starts at 8pm. Licensed venue (19+) but open to all-ages. Fusing the energy of New Orleans parade bands with the circuitous rhythms of West Africa, Cuba, India and Brazil, Toronto's DRUMHAND is becoming increasingly known for their innovative, dynamic performances and artistic accessibility for audiences of all ages. With layered drumming and poly-meter at the core, many of DRUMHAND’s engaging and edgy compositions feature the one-stringed ‘stomach harp’ of Brazil or the box-shaped Gome foot-drum alongside flutes and horns from around the globe.
