On this frigid, Winter Storm Warning night.. I am glad I could make it into the studio safely so you could stay home and enjoy some music originating from warmer climes...playing with those memories of the sun beating down... a nice ocean breeze... and an ice cold beverage to temper the heat of the sun. Ahhhhhhhh.... if I could fly away right now I would (and I hate flying so thats sayin alot) :-). I guess I will have to settle for some of my own homemade cocoa tea to thaw me out when I get home.. truly perfect for a night like tonight.. a stay inside night for sure. Mmmm cocoa tea and Chelsea Buns... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!! Okay.. I gotta go.. gotta get home. Bye.. see ya next week.
:-)
Always my favorite 2 hours.. being here with you. Thank you for tuning in. I hope you enjoyed the program with loved ones by your side... even if not.. I am there with ya trying to keep you warm, happy and singing along.
Farewell Nelson... and thank you for the lessons in love... true love and awesome forgiveness. May we learn and ever live from your example.

From her voice, sounded like a lovely lady called to request some Tarrus Riley or Queen Ifrica. So I had to play one request and then when she called back to say thank you.. well... then I had to spoil her (as she said) and play the Queen immediately following. Ms. No Name, thank you for your calls and your requests. I hope you enjoyed the whole show. Thank you for tuning in and calling. |

Listener request to play a love anthem by the title of "Greatest Love Of All" by Whitney. Her voice soars in this song and the words.. perfect, for a tribute to Newtown, Connecticut on the anniversary of... well... its saddest day. I cannot imagine the grief of losing a child so.... may love surround you as you continue to live through this loss. |

From the conversation on the Interactive Menu regarding Snoop Lion and reggae etc. I thought... lets play some real reggae talent - no disrespect to Snoop Lion... but... who can tess the voice(s) of Etana or Tessanne or Phyllis Dillon, or Dawn Penn or Louisa Marks... and this list could go on but.. Etana for you with a sweet tune called Closer. (By the way you can see, hear and support the lovely Tessanne Chin on NBC's hit show The Voice) Tessanne... doin us proud. You go girl!!! |

A long time listener to the show, Jeremy, wanted to hear Desmond Dekker's, Dance The Night Away... the theme song for Vintage Love, what we start out with every Saturday night. I have to admit hearing that song at the end of the show was quite strange.. felt like I should be setting up to start the show but nope.. the show.. almost over. Thanks Jeremy for your request. This is the perfect theme song for the Vintage Love show. Desmond Dekker for you, enjoy. |

Welcome to this frigidly cold episode of Vintage Love. Hope you are inside and dont have to go out for the remainder of the night... it is treacherous on the roads.. but I digress... welcome to the show. I hope you enjoy the music lined up for tonight. :-) If you happen to be listening from somewhere tropical... please dont rub it in tonight. :-(
