Thank you for tuning into Vintage Love on CKCU tonight. A double tribute show for the loss of the great reggae artist Junior Murvin and the Honorable Nelson Mandela. Also a birthday show for me which I enjoyed bringing to you the entire show but I lined up a few of my favorite things (chunes) to wind out the show on the eve of my birthday. I wish I had more time.. was just gettin going. haha :-) Anyway, thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday and to everyone sending love. I send it back to you. A long walk indeed Bahamas.. a long walk indeed. But every step became more thundering than the step before it... that thunder does not end here. WE will keep it moving in a positive direction as long as we have life to live. Respect... thanks... and love to Nelson Mandela who was judged as a criminal and came out on the other side a President and an icon for the ages.

"Crying in Soweto"...has been stuck in my head since Sat. night. OA..you are Top-of-the-Notch Music Selector. It brought back memories of what our sisters and brothers endured during the Apartheid in Soweto, but thanks to Mr. Mandela and his team - "They kept their goal in sight". Great tribute OA!!

Hmmm.. my favorite ice cream flavors... Okay.. let me think: Pralines and Cream, Chocolate Chip, Rum 'n Raisin, Vanilla... I used to love this Bubble Gum flavor when I was younger... not sure if that still is around though. Thats all I can think of now... I am sure I will think of more later ?.

Mon mour O.A. you asked what is the relevance of 5 square meters? Well 5 square meters is approx. the size of what was Nelson Mandela's prison cell on Robben Island not far offshore from Cape Town, South Africa. And as Paul Harvey would say... now you know the rest of the story. ;-)
