This session will cover the impacts of the Roaring Twenties, the Great Depression and the Second World War on jazz. She will simultaneously be focusing on the masters of Big Band jazz who were instrumental in shaping this genre and paving the way with their impactful showmanship and technique. You'll get to hear from all of your Big Band favourites! In the first half, listeners can expect to hear Fletcher Henderson, Benny Goodman, Chick Webb and Duke Ellington.
