The Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians was founded in 1965 in Chicago by Muhal Richard Abrams, Jodie Christian, Steve McCall and Philip Cohran. It's mandate is devoted "to nurturing, performing, and recording serious, original music". Today we listen to a pair of records released in 1978.
