In the late 1960's and early 1970's Billy Cobham earned the reputation as one of the greatest jazz fusion drummers. He gained recognition for his work with Miles Davis and as a co-founder of Mahavishnu Orchestra with John McLaughlin . He released his first album as a leader in 1973.
