Kevin Skerrett is a researcher with CUPE and a visiting professor at Carleton. He's studying how pension funds -- which are supposed to provide members with security and a better life in retirement -- have become so large and eager to make big returns that they are contributing to environmental problems, poverty, and even some of the troubles we've seen in long-term care homes.
