CELEBRATING JONI MITCHELL!
Canadian singer-songwriter icon "Joni" Mitchell, was born on November 7, 1943. Her birthday is exactly in 9 days from now. She has spent her life addressing social and environmental issues and helping people move through emotions of confusion, disillusion and joy through deeply moving lyrics noted for their developed poetics. Her 1971 recording of Blue was rated the 30th best album ever made in Rolling Stone's list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time"
Mitchell was hospitalized on March 31 when she was found unconscious in her home after suffering an aneurysm. She is slowly recovering and expected to eventually return to good health.
Many fans have poured out their hearts to her, to give her back some of the good that she has inspired in their lives.
