Astonish Me Max Webster - Mutiny up my sleeve |
I've been playing Max Webster tracks ALL SUMMER in tribute to my Best Radio Friend Forever, Trish Bolechowsky. And guess what friends... WE DID IT! The entire Max Webster catalog will have been played by the end of this show. What a ride!
Moving forward, I can either stop playing Max altogether, or continue sneaking them into shows every week. I think the choice is clear. |

This event will also serve as the launch of a fresh, new look for the Ottawa Symphony. Learn about the new RE-JOYce series and how you can help support one of Ottawa’s oldest musical institutions. Enjoy images from past concerts and community programs as we relive some of the best memories from the past 55 years. Finally, get your dancing shoes on and dust off the at home dance floor as the DJs from the Music.Art.Ppl collective cap off the event with an at-home dance party (featuring a special guest)! About The Ottawa Symphony: The Ottawa Symphony is a Community-Based Professional Orchestra. Ottawa is home to our musicians, and our orchestra belongs to Ottawa. The OSO frequently features area musicians as soloists and is committed to giving opportunities to emerging and established local, regional and Canadian talent. We don’t shy away from the exciting, monumental works of the 19th and 20th centuries that take full advantage of our large and harmonically rich ensemble of musicians. At all our performances, you’ll experience work by at least one Canadian composer. Through a longstanding arrangement with the University of Ottawa, our mentorship program affords young musicians the opportunity to perform with our professional orchestra over the course of their degree. During the past months, we’ve also created a new web series, sharing archival recordings for the very first time. About Music.Art.Ppl: Music.Art.Ppl is about encouraging artists to share and collaborate with each other. They have been curating events across the Nation's Capital for the last four plus years, providing a space where artists from different backgrounds can come together and create. Since its inception in 2016 Music.Art.Ppl has supported hundreds of local artists and musicians by providing an arena where local makers can interact with the public. The core team is excited to continue to support local artists both virtually and in person and is excited to work with the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra on this Fun-Raiser. |
