Chris McKhool returns to hometown Ottawa. McKhool explains "My parents are from Lebanese and Egyptian backgrounds, and also celebrated Christmas in the home. So Christmas songs as well as music from around the globe, were always part of my upbringing.
Just released their 6th album, taking Christmas songs and shaping them with their own characteristic world music flavour with the help of many guest musicians.

Ottawa-based big band The Commotions and their new release, ‘Volume II’ are celebrating in their hometown digs — December 1st at Babylon! Tickets are $10. Show time 7:30 pm

‘Volume II’ delivers the type of next-level, Motown-meets-modern, jazzy, funky, pop, soul and pure sonic joy that only their 11 regular members plus 16 noteworthy guests can bring.

Already featuring the likes of Rebecca Noelle (Soulstice, Quebec’s La Voix) and Jeff Rogers (The Cooper Brothers) — plus musical director, producer, songwriter, and tenor sax ace Brian Asselin — ‘Volume II’s guest list includes, among others, Philosopher King’s Jarvis Church, MonkeyJunk’s Steve Marriner, and Juno-nominated Petr Cancura.

Five years after the release of her bilingual album "CALL ME CRAZY", Kristine St-Pierre returns with "LA PROMESSE", a French EP of six catchy pop songs, while remaining true to her introspective and sensitive folk style.

Kristine called on musicians she admires - Raphael Weinroth-Browne on cello, Simon Poirier-Lachance on drums, cajon, percussion and piano, Catriona Sturton on the harmonica, Clayton Connel on the keyboard and Dean Watson on the electric bass. It was produced by Dean Watson at Gallery Recording Studios and mastered by Jay Fee at Conduction Mastering.

Missouri Lowsider was written by songwriter, vocalist, rhythm guitarist and band founder Mike Mackey and produced and engineered in Greenwood, Ontario by Blinker The Star's Jordon Zadorozny.
Kings Of Lowertown welcomes multi-instrumentalist Jon Christink of Pembroke, Ontario into the fold playing slide guitar, electric guitar and banjo.

A roots rock band from Toronto playing in Burnstown on Saturday, December 2nd playing at the Neat Café
Their debut full-length record, The Album, was released on August 4th, featuring songs from the May EP release.
