She earned a spot within the independent music scene in March 2012, when she showcased her original music during Canadian Music Week, at the Royal York Library Bar. She was invited back to perform two showcases at CMW 2013. She launched her first full-length album UNBREAKABLE in April 2013. Melanie followed that up with a triumphant NXNE showcase. Most recently Melanie released a single called SUNSHINE produced by Mitch Girio. Krista Hartman "Her lyrics move beyond the confessional approach to take in a wider, thoughtful perspective on things."
