A BIG thank you to everyone who answered the call and supported Vintage Love and CKCU 93.1FM this year. YOU are who keep this show going. While others turn away during this time, tune out and turn off... not only do you stay tuned in.. but you proactively do what you can, to protect your favorite show(s) and station. This means a lot.. not only to the station and its survival but it means sooo much to us hosts, who labor to bring you decent programming that you would enjoy and return too each week. It is encouragement and it is support simultaneously.
I liken it to the resounding applause at the end of a concert that brings the band back out to play a bit longer because the love is irrefutable. Your pledges and donations are that applause that tells us (me).. that you do enjoy the show and you do enjoy what I do with the programming time that has been granted to us. So again... while some people stand on the sidelines and complain about not having this or that in our community but do nothing but complain... you.. YOU (and you know who you are) came to my aid and to the stations aid.. especially this year, to applaud what we do.. imperfect as it is. I truly thank you for this.. because while I wished more calls came in... if none did, then for sure I would end the show. So thank you to those of you who stand with me.. for Vintage Love, for positive music and vibes.. for CKCU... for Reggae music.. and for a community that is and remains rich and invested in diversity.
I love many different genres of music but not all, but I surely appreciate that all these masterpieces of love are there for us to pick and choose from. CKCU represents our community and our home... like no commercial radio station would dare to. We want to keep you loving what we do and this is why I... speaking for Vintage Love... always always do my best to lift your spirits even if they are already high... to lower your blood pressure, even if it is low.. and to make you sing and dance as if no one is watching. And to make you love like there is no tomorrow.
To those who don’t just take... but give... the few…. the strong… the brave… the supporters of Vintage Love…
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
:-)

Don't ask what can Vintage Love do for you-we've been doing it for 15+yrs! Rather ask, what can I do for Vintage Love & CKCU?

Vintage Love welcomes you back to "regular" scheduled programming. Thank you to all who donated to CKCU through your favorite shows (which hopefully Vintage Love is one) and took the reigns of control in making sure this station survives. Thank you. :-)
