Finally.... a lovely weekend. AND.. no special weather statements or advisories to report.... excellent!! haha A nice weekend for you (well us) in Ottawa, I hope you enjoy this one (of which I hope there are many more to come this summer). Thank you for tuning into VL this weekend. On tonight's show the featured artists were; Richie Stephens, Dennis Brown by request, Romain Virgo, Peetah Morgan, Etana by request, Divine Brown (one of my favorite songs - "One More Chance"), a wicked instrumental version to start off the show tonight by Jackie Mittoo and his song "Fancy Pants" covering a big Marvin Gaye tune. An interude.. well I will call it an outerlude of some Patti Labelle with, "On My Own".. that 20 seconds dedicated to all in my life who held titles that weren't worth the cheap motel single ply bargain latrines paper it was printed on.. you know who you are and aren't. 70 x 7 yes, for sure...but still......Goodbye! VL ending off the night with some Bitty McLean.. some serenity now., with "In And Out Of Love/Taxi To Paris".. and a little momentary bonus of Rosie Delmah and Conkarah prior to New Jack City taking over the airwaves. Ahh, tomorrow the forecast is saying 20+ degrees here in the GOA (at least Meteorologist O'shea Adagio says so-haha [Doppler Radar baby]).... cant wait. The bike is ready to go for a spin on our lovely bike paths here in Ottawa and I am itchin' for a nice sun roof open, jammin tunes, ice cream cone in hand... drive in the car. I hope you will be able to get out and enjoy the day and maybe.. humming some of the tunes we played on the show tonight. Always aiming to please while bringing back and creating great memories. "The Emperor". haha :-) Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by the flooding this year and a rousing... standing ovation for the volunteers who, faceless and nameless in many respects... took the time to help their neighbors.
