Tonights show, dedicated to the memory of my Uncle HFHS. In light of this and in thankfulness for the years I did have with him, we venture into Big People chunes for the majority of tonight. Those tunes that would make my Uncle look at me with a coy grin and ask.. "How do you know this song?". And the stories would begin of the memories these songs brought back. So many great memories.. rewinding and as we say... Playing With Those Memories Again. Thankful for the years I did have with you Uncle Hal. The plants are doing well and still blossoming on your birthday.
So tonight, artists featured such as Cynthia Schloss, Claudette Thomas, Derrick Harriott, Carlene Davis, Vic Taylor and some Wendy Alleyne courtesy of my other Uncle, Uncle Marse.. who looooves music too. Respect to all my Squee uncles here and those gone. Love you all.
What are you thankful for this year? Family... health.. a job... a new car??? Whatever or whomever it is, I hope we all can take some time to ponder what it would be like without these things and cherish them while we can. I know my Unks would have loved to hear any one of these songs one more time.
