Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen. Thank you for tuning into Vintage Love live or to the On Demand version via our website: www.ckcufm.com Here we are, already entering the month of October. I hope you are enjoying the fall so far. I do love fall but it is the reality of what follows it that disturbs me so. But anyway, that is another story in another book. :-) Glad you have the time to spend with me here on CKCU. Hopefully you are at home, where you feel most at peace and can truly enjoy the music lined up for tonight. Maybe you will be dancing.. maybe romancing.. maybe just quietly enjoying the show. Whatever it is you are doing, I hope to lift your spirits with good vibes and good music... maybe tickle a memory or two of days gone by. Always hoping to be a bright spot in your weekends. So introducing the show tonight, we start with some Dwight Pinkney and through the show tonight we hear the voices of Garnett Silk, Pat Kelly, Gregory, Bingie Barker, Owen Gray, Thriller U, Sanchez and T.T. Rose. Tonight we play almost the first hour of the show focused on the music of the late 60's in Jamaica, a music called Rock Steady (coined by Alton Ellis.. which we play tonight as well). So if you love Rock Steady then keep it locked into Vintage Love tonight, because I think you will like this show... or at least the Rock Steady set anyway. Home seemed to be the topic of choice this weekend and thus the name of the show. Brings to mind songs like, "A House Is Not A Home"... a classic from the Late Great Luther Vandross... requested recently on the After Hours show.
