Another Saturday night. Thank you for choosing to tune into Vintage Love tonight. As the temperature dips... the more cozy we will try to get. haha Vintage Love for you winter, summer, spring or fall. This is a special show tonight. Every year after the Funding Drive concludes I like to do a show of thank you's for the folks who did pledge and who did donate to the station to your favorite show(s) would be no longer and the station would probably not survive. So this show a BIG THANK YOU to those of you who donated. It also allows me to keep doing what we do here on Saturday nights and if you are tuned in or come back to check out the show On Demand then I am guessing that you would like VL to continue. So thanks to those who informed the station that this is the case with your donations. Instead of playing songs that were requested over the drive (since I had to miss so much of it), I thought I would open the lines during the show just to those who donated. So this is what we did... and I hope you enjoyed. Thank you for giving the station 40 years of life and thank you for giving me and Vintage Love 12 of a dream. Thank you! For sure you had us girls swooning during the Quiet Storm Monologues. You were definitely laying down some love ballads. It's as if you KNEW you had to do an extended version of the VL show, so you prepared for it, and you definitely 'laced' us with those romantic tunes, that made us want to get into the horizontal position, etc.

Well I am glad you enjoyed the extended show.. once again. I had no idea I would be there until almost 3am believe me. It was a slowly understood surprise but it is fun because VL can delve into other things a bit. Like last week.. I played some Fugees, some Madonna, Kool & The Gang etc. during the extra time. So in that respect it is fun. But no, I had noooo idea I would be playing music for almost 5 hours. Lucky that I travel with lots and lots of music. :-)

Swoon in this case means that the music and the words of the songs are so powerful, and has such an effect on us ....that it gets us to a state where we are very pliable in the hands of the one we love!:-). Being that I'm a Secret Admirer of yours,...I would be very pliable in your hands, after listening to tunes such as the quiet storm monologues!:-)
