A special treat for you tonight on Vintage Love.
Tonight.. with the summer seeming to start slowly but hopefully it is here now to stay.. well at least for a few months anyway, we thought we would play summer songs... songs that speak of the sun, heat and enjoying all that there is to enjoy in the summertime.
Tonight, the show will welcome MC Jr. the co-host for tonight's show (and who knows what the future holds). :-)
MC Jr.'s birthday was last week on July 9th and he asked me for his birthday present if he could do the show with me.. I thought.. are you sure, are you serious???? Yep.. that is exactly what I want! Okay...
And so... this show is a treat for you out in radio land and a birthday gift to MC Jr. Happy 9th birthday buddy. I hope you have 100+ more. :-)
A long day for me as I was at the station early early today to fill in for the legendary Stephen Neale on his show, The Saturday Morning Show which starts at 7AM.. yes.. 7AM. So a long day but it was truly a great honor and pleasure to host that great show. If you have never checked it out before, check out The Saturday Morning Show on Saturdays (of course) from 7am to 10am.
As a Nocturnalite, I was worried about getting up at 6am to make it to the station.. so I stayed up all night and planned the show and then the morning took a truly unexpected turn. You will have to check out the Sat. July 11th show to find out what craziness occurred after such planning. As Jerry would say, "Serenity now, Serenity now". :-) Again, that is the Saturday Morning show on July 11th, 2015.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the show featuring MC Jr. on CKCU The Mighty 93.1 FM tonight.
Thank you MC Jr. for coming in and for helping me with the show. You did a fantastic job... maybe we can do it again sometime. It was a great help on a day when I was truly exhausted.
