Thank you for tuning into Vintage Love tonight.
Tonight starting out with some legendary voices in the world of Reggae music. Artists such as Wayne Wade, Alton Ellis, Cornell Campbell, Boris Gardiner and more. Also.. and one of the reasons I was racing up and down the 401 today... the celebration of Sonja Elaine James. So on my race back to Ottawa to do the show tonight, I reflected on the songs at Sonjas' celebration and thought... what better way to pay tribute to her than to put together a set of music inspired by her. So this show is dedicated to the memory of S.E. James and to those of us who have had to say goodbye to a parent. This show is for you (us).
I do hope you enjoy the show tonight.. some Reggae, some Gospel and some Soul tonight.
As my mom says frequently now... time goes fast.. as does life, so enjoy it and treasure the times you have with the ones you love.
Again, thank you for tuning in and I hope Vintage Love is a highlight in your weekend.
My sincere condolences to the James family, extended family, friends and loved ones. May peace and comfort find you soon.
Truly yours,
O'shea Adagio
Vintage Love

This next set of music goes out to the loved ones of Sonja Elaine James who was laid to rest earlier today. She touch many peoples lives and so the ceremony was truly a celebration of her. In light of this.. as we celebrate happy things and sorrowful things like saying goodbye... these are songs for SEJ and for those of us left behind. Some of these tunes were her favorites and some were meaningful and a part of the celebration today. A true reminder to live while life is ours for the taking. Rest well, a tribute to Sonja Elaine James. |
