Ahh...so nice to be back with you this Saturday night. I honestly missed you last week. I hope you enjoyed this "covers and lovers" edition of the VL show tonight. As I said.. it was great to be back and playing music with you this evening. Thank you for your calls, your messages on the Interactive Menu, your emails and to everyone who listened and enjoyed the program unbeknowns to me. :-) I love doing this show. Thank you for allowing me to do it for 10 years... just amazing!! Thank you. Happy Canada Day to everyone. Have a safe and happy holiday. Bobby Womack.... passed away this week at the age of 70 yrs. old. At this point the cause has not yet been disclosed but it doesnt matter. So many.. soooo many great songs have been written and sung by this man. The void left in the music industry will be forever felt. Remember the song, "If You Think You're Lonely Now"... wow.. so many songs.. which bring many great memories. Respect to Bobby Womack and thank you for doing what you loved to do... this choice blessed us all. Thank you!

Thank you #1 (sounds like Star Trek) :-) Anyway, thank you very much for your comments. I am glad you enjoyed the show especially the Fausto track... I agree with you.. that song is just amazing.. I could listen to it over and over and over again. Actually, I think I played it twice.. Anyway, have a wonderful remainder of the weekend and have a Happy Canada Day. I hope we all take a moment to put our bottles down, our BBQ's etc. down and remember the price that people before us paid.. many with their lives. On this 2014 Canada Day celebration... remember.. ya, I know it is not Rememberance Day but still... Freedom everyday is something to pause, reflect and be thankful for.. it was and continues to be paid for! Happy Candada Day everyone.

Our HIstory
I do have to do some more research on when Canada gained Independence from England. Because I read somewhere that July 1st is the celebration of the anniversary of Confederation Day. On July 1, 1867, the provinces of ON, QC, NB & NS joined together in Confederation to create the new country Canada, and then later on, other provinces joined in Confederation and became part of Canada. So when did we actually gain our independence from England?
