Thanks for taking us back into the 80's with Artists such as Tenor Saw, Eek-a-mouse, Y-Man etc. But you forgot 'Tiger'. He was one of the popular artists...back in the days! (Although he does have a scary voice!:-). Until next time, t'will be - "Music, you, us...and the Lord" - He's our greatest friend, especially in the sad times. (Music soothes us and the Lord gives us HOPE for a brighter tomorrow) Luv!!:-)

Now that is a great question Congrats... oh my goodness. What is the best thing/moments that have come for Vintage Love for me in these 10 years.... WOW!!! You are really makin my brain work here. There is so much... I will have to ponder this one and get back to you... I have to think. There have been sooo many amazing things, memories etc. that will last a lifetime. Memories flood back right now but.. top 3.. I have to think about that. This might be a difficult task. I think I already know what the first one would be... but that might be a lonnngggg message to tell that story. How would you like me to answer this question. By email, here on the Interactive Menu etc... You asked.. so how do you want me to answer (after I figure these top 3 things out). haha :-)

After months of writing a proposal and re-writing and recording and re-recording a demo tape (yes cassette)... actually I have to go back abit. I had gone home for the Christmas break in 2003. While there, one of my childhood and long time great friends Robert B. inspired me to finish what I had started... as he had done something similar and was now following his dreams in the film industry. So with this.. I came back to Ottawa early so that I could finish my demo and proposal and submit it to the station. I worked on finalizing my proposal and application night and day over the remainder of the holidays. I finished it and submitted it to CKCU on the morning of January 6th, 2004. I was in my office later that day working and my phone rang. I turned to my phone and saw the caller ID which said - CKCU. My heart started to pound... I could feel perspiration on my forehead in an instant starting to form. I thought.. no way... a thousand thoughts ran through my head as I reached slowly for the phone. Might this be the beginning of realizing my childhood dream... no way... it cant be!! This must be something of irony that I am receiving a call from the station. So I pick up the phone...Hello! "Hi, this is the Program Director at CKCU, Chris Larsen". I said, helllllllloooo - very gingerly I might add, how are you doing? He said to me, "We have reviewed your proposal and we would like to create a show with you". My mouth WIDE open.. in disbelief... "Ooohhh Kay!" (thinking in my head.. is this a joke.. am I dreaming -pinch pinch--No.. this is not a dream). "When can we set up a meeting and start scheduling time in the Closed Circuit and training on the mic and control boards?" Near soiling myself at this point... I can come over anytime. Okay, says Chris.. we will be in touch but we want to get this going right away. We would like to have you on air starting in February!! Me - WHAT!?!?! Are you serious??? Yes.. So I will be in touch with you soon to set up some training. Okay... thanks Chris.. I say... I a
