Interviews with Dan Mangan (Bronson Centre, Oct. 27) and Louis-Pierre Bergeron of the National Arts Centre Orchestra

We open the show in conversation with Dan Mangan who is appearing at the Bronson Centre on Friday night (Oct. 27) along with another great artist Aysanabee. We talk to Dan about the gentle nature of his last album Being Somewhere and about the vibrant and fun side of the new single Say When. Dan also tells us how he is structuring his live sets on this tour and how the setlist changes night after night. He has been the Fourth Horn with the National Arts Centre Orchestra since 2017. Louis-Pierre tells us about his personal journey in music and the decision he made to come to Ottawa to perform with the National Arts Centre Orchestra. We talk about how the French Horn is simply called The Horn now, what it means to perform the natural horn, and some contemporary music groups that he performs with. We also talk about a really fun video Louis-Pierre created during the COVID lockdowns with his son and his first solo album which is going to be released very soon.
