It's a Funding Drive show today and my first time hosting the Guest LIst back in the studio since early March of 2020. Wow! We open the show in conversation with Pascal Huot of the Ottawa group Pony Girl. Pascal is the primary songwriter for the group and we talk about their brand new album Laff It Off which was released by Paper Bag Records on October 27th. We discuss the cinematic nature of some of their songs and what to expect when Pony Girl performs at Club SAW on Friday, November 10th. It's always a lot of fun talking to Suzie and today we hear about her recent touring exploits and how she is working on new songs and will be hanging out with Jim Bryson at his studio in Stittsville over the next week or so to record some of them. Today we talk to Rachel about a very special and important fundraiser that Debaser is producing to help support efforts to stop a new jail from being built in Kemptville. Rachel tells us why this cause is important to Debaser and about the artists being featured in the benefit concert.
