Interviews with the Nordic group Vilda and Toronto's Kiwi jr (at Club SAW on Saturday, July 23)

We open the program with a special interview with two amazing artists from Finland who make music under the group name Vilda. The duo was in town for performances at the National Arts Centre on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 19 and 20. I saw their show on the 20th and it was amazing. This duo blends traditional Sami vocalizing with virtuoso accordion playing in a hypnotic and mesmerizing sound that defies description. Jeremy takes us into the three singles that have been released from the album to date and explores the themes of these songs.
