We open the show with music from Charles Lloyd and the Marvels, featuring Bill Frisell. The group performs on Saturday, June 25th at the Ottawa Jazz Festival. Petr Cancura is the Artistic Director of the Ottawa Jazz Festival and he joins us to tell us about the 2022 edition of the Festival and how excited he and the Jazz Fest team feel about bringing the Festival back to life after a two year hiatus due to the COVID pandemic. Petr also provides some great suggestions of concerts to check out at the Festival this year, including Emmy Lou Harris, Lucinda Williams and the Blind Boys of Alabama.
