Today we talk to Shad about his latest album TAO. Shad's seventh album was released in October of 2021 and it is another powerful, hip-hop meditation on the state of affairs in our world. While Shad is exploring some deep and dark themes on this recording, he also tells us how he worked to inject some light and levity into the songs. He talks to us about his writing and recording process and how he managed to work the lovely words of his Mom into the song "God" and how he worked with the poet George Elliott Clarke on "Storm."
