An interview with Scott Morgan (who records under the name loscil) about his latest release LUX Refractions

Scott Morgan composes and records amazing, beautiful, ambient soundscapes under the name of loscil. He lives and works in Vancouver and he talks to us today from his home about the process of putting together the music for his latest release, LUX Refractions. We hear about how Scott went back to the same source recording that he used to create the ambitious album Clara in early 2021 and how he managed to emerge with four new and very different sounding pieces for this album. Scott give us insight into each of the four pieces on this recording and talks about his love of romantic classical composers. He also talks about new work that he is creating for a theatre production and how he may soon release some music he created for dance productions.
