The new album "Changing Faces" by The Deep Dark Woods and an interview with Ryan Boldt

Today we talk to Ryan Boldt of The Deep Dark Woods about the group's new album Changing Faces. Right off the top, Ryan explains that he doesn't much like talking about his songs as they are frequently of a deeply personal nature, however, through the course of the interview he gives us some clues as to what some of the songs are about. It's a beautiful, dark collection of folk-oriented songs that Ryan explains was fairly easy to record this time around. He talks about the contributions of some of the musicians on the recording, how he wanted to make an album he would enjoy listening to and how it draws on some of the approaches used by artists he admires a great deal. Changing Faces will be released on Friday, May 14th so if you're listening early you're getting a world radio premier of some of these great songs.
