The Guest List
Thursday January 14th, 2021 with Joe Reilly
An interview with the Grievous Angels as we feature the group's new album Summer Before The Storm (Part 1 as we'll feature more interview segments in the future.)

Today we talk to NDP super MP for Timmins-James Bay Charlie Angus and school teacher Tim Hadley. Oh did I forget to mention that they are both members of one of Canada's finest roots-rock groups Grievous Angels?? Charlie writes the songs, plays guitar and sings with the Angels while Tim plays bass. The two talk to us about the group's brand new album Summer Before The Storm. We talk about the inspirations for many of the songs and the great narratives about average Canadians that Charlie Angus spins in his rootsy songs. We also talk about the challenges of keeping the group together and recording around the busy schedule of Charlie Angus. It's a fun and far-reaching conversation today and we'll feature more on a future show as we just didn't have enough time today for all of the interview. If you'd like to purchase the album use this link: https://grievousangels2.bandcamp.com/releases Remember that it's important to support independent artists. They don't make enough money from streaming services so if you want them to keep making great music, consider purchasing some of their creations if you can afford to do so.
