Today just one guest again as we talk to JoJo Worthington about her upcoming show at Irene's on Friday, August 2. It will be a slightly different scene at Irene's as JoJo uses looping technology to create her textured and mesmerizing electronic music. As JoJo explains she feels as though she straddles a couple of musical genres combining elements of singer-songwriter folk music with electronic music and the influences of patterned rhythmic post-classical masters like Steve Reich. She talks about how her music is sometimes created on traditional instruments but for TCYK she predominantly composed using electronic instruments. It's a beautiful blend of music and will make for a great concert at Irene's on the 2nd of Aug.
