We kick off the show with Lindi Ortega who has released a smokin' new album called Liberty. It's a spooky country affair with her powerful voice front and centre. She's appearing at the 27 Club on Saturday night, May 5. Mappe Of released a gorgeous textured album last year called a Norther Star, A Perfect Stone. We talk to Tom about making the record and how he intends to make the music come to life in the live setting. The two singer-songwriters are doing a mini tour of the region this weekend. They play at Pressed in Ottawa tonight (May 3) and then it's out to Renfrew at Batstone's Northern Ramble on Friday (May 4.) Finally they finish their regional roundup in Wakefield on Saturday night when they play at the Kaffe 1870. Lynn tells us about recording her new album with Michael Timmins and how she worked to change up the feel of things on that recording. She also talks about how she ended up working with Any Maize and Josh Finlayson of the Skydiggers on the song Meet Me In The City - a tribute to her mentor and their former bandmate Paul MacLeod.
