The Guest List
Thursday April 21st, 2016 with Joe Reilly
Interviews with Colour Film, Megan Jerome and Philip Sayce

Tonight we talk a lot about the creative (notably the songwriting) process with three interesting guests. Colour Film is essentially the latest musical project from Matthew de Zoete. We talk to Matthew about why he decided to take on a moniker for his recording career and the way in which he writes his songs starting with the melodies. THere are many beautiful and textured melodies on his new e.p. (the first under the Colour Film name) Super 8 and you can hear them this Saturday night (April 23) at Pressed. http://matthewd.server261.com/ Ottawa's own Megan Jerome joins us to talk about her upcoming gig at Cafe 1870 in Wakefield on Friday night (April 22.) We talk about her awesome band the Together Ensemble and how much she enjoys making music with them and how her songs have grown and expanded in the live setting since the release of her latest album called.... Together Ensemble. https://meganjerome.com/ Finally, Philip Sayce joins us to talk about his rockin' form of blues-influenced music. He talks about working with ace producer Dave Cobb and trying to capture that live feeling in the studio. The gracious Philip Sayce always acknowledges others who contribute to his electric sound and he talks about those who have influenced his gritty guitar style. You can see him perform at the Rainbow Bistro on Friday and Saturday night (April 22 and 23.) http://philipsayce.com/ No excuses... get out and see some live music this week!!
