Christa Couture has released a new album titled Long Time Leaving,and she is playing at Live On Elgin on Sunday night (May 1). Her new album is full of deeply personal songs and we talk about recording with Steve Dawson (again!) and how he helps her to work those songs so that they have universal appeal. http://christacouture.com/ Rose Cousins is playing with Royal Woods at the National Arts Centre in Southam Hall on Friday, May 6. It will be a special show with Rose joining Royal on stage and the National Arts Centre Orchestra thrown into what shall be a wonderful mix!! Rose was guarded about releasing too many details about the show as they want to have some surprises for you. But we did talk about the process of recording her new album, working with Joe Henry and the amazing singer-songwriter whom Rose covers on her latest e.p. - that's her cover of Lori McKenna's Shake from the e.p. The group's first full length album is out and it's a rockin' affair.
