We talk about her latest music project House of Many Rooms - her first album that features her own songs in a pop music setting. Laila is known for her work in the jazz world and her role as a backup vocalist for Paula Cole, Suzanne Vega and Sting so this album is a big step for her. She talks about balancing family life and life as a musician, and what she learned from working with Vega and Cole... and the very personal nature of her songs.
