ECM Records turns 50

Continuing our celebration of the 50th anniversary of ECM Records, we feature the label's biggest selling album of all time - Keith Jarrett's THE KOLN CONCERT. Recorded January 24, 1975 during his European tour, so much indicated that the performance would be a failure - Jarrett was ill and sleep deprived, the piano was sub-standard (the the upper register and the lower register was inferior which caused Keith to play only within the middle register on the piano) - but sometimes miracles happen. It did that night! What we have is awesome improvisation despite the limitations put upon him.
