Jimmy Giuffre has always been an innovator. He contributed to the sound of the big bands era as well as that of the avant-garde. His trio with Paul Bley and Steve Swallow has marked the history of jazz. We will sample music from two of his recordings : Thesis (1961) and Free Fall (1962).
