Steve Lacy - Blinks - Zürich 1983

Steve Lacy has been a giant of the soprano saxophone for nearly five decades. He started in New Orleans music but quickly and early he jumped into Free Jazz thanks to an association with Cecil Taylor not to mention his four months association with Thelonious Monk. He kept playing Monk’s music in all kinds of configurations until his death. Tonight we will sample his Blinks – Zürich CD that showed him in full bloom.
