clarinetist Lajos Dudas: chamber music & Jazz fusion
Hungarian clarinetist Lajos Dudas had a long career playing both in the classical and Jazz musical genres. His latest CD Brückenschlag (blasting the bridge) explores the fusion between avant-garde chamber music of composers such as Anton von Webern, Bela Bartok, his own compositions and Jazz. Dudas wwith a typical chamber music instrument, the clarinet, brilliantly demonstrates the link.
Here in Ottawa, the Chamber Fest starting next week is featuring several Jazz concerts, among them, the David Mott, Ernst Reijseger and Jesse Stewart on july 26th at 10pm should be a must…
