Evan Parker/Urs Leimgruber duo

Evan Parker has developed a unique style of saxophone playing about four decades ago that features all the notes a normal saxophonist can`t play. This technically challenging approach has to my knowledge, never been really fully imitated since then. One fine day, Ottawa Citizen writer Peter Hum handed me a Clean Feed duo CD with Evan Parker and Urs Leimgruber. It turns out that Leimgruber has just attempted the unthinkable, use Evan Parker`s unique techniques. The 2007 CD is very appropriately called Twine.
