Argentinian vocalist Katja Cruz + Renée Yoxon bonus

Katja Cruz is an Argentinian of Russian descent that currently lives in Graz, Austria. Austria is the home of Mozart and has an enormous musical tradition both in classical and folkloric music. Thus, Cruz is at ease both in Tango music and classical music that includes classical avant-garde and also improvised music. Tonight we will sample the wordless songs featured on her Light and Shade 2011 CD where she in sharp contrast with Tango, features a highly impressionistic haunting and mysterious atmosphere. Since we are featuring a vocalist, this is the time to preview our local vocalist rising star Renée Yoxon that will release her CD this coming Friday at the NAC 4th stage. Renée kindly sent me four tracks that we will enjoy listening.
