Thomas Chapin was the first artist to be signed to the Knitting Factory Records label when it began. Chapin had helped establish the Knitting Factory venue as a central NYC hub for music performances. Tonight we listen to several recordings by the Thomas Chapin Trio recorded between 1991 and 1996 and released on the Knitting Factory Records label.
