Taking me back...down in the cellar on Avenue Rd., Toronto, 60s...House Of Hambourg..Clem's jazz club...I could get in cause no booze... I played trumpet...but not with these guys!!! Mostly USA pro guys comin up. Learned about jazz, weed, & heroin at break in alley went on...very cool scene...I was treated ok. Clem knew everybody. Opened 1st one in 1946...4 locations over time...I was in last one...sat against stone wall & kept my mouth shut.
