Just got back inside from digging up carrots in the cold for my foodbank delivery tomorrow. Welcomed inside by the warm voice of Tony Bennett , with Bill Evans; does not get better than that. I saw Tony at the Montreal Jazz Festival the same night with Al Jareau !! Pure heaven with my 2 favourite jazz vocalists. One of the most memorable live shows of my life. I was the Sponsorship Manager at Ottawa Jazz Festival that year and the Sponsorship Manager at Montreal Jazz Festival offered to take me back stage to meet Al Jareau but I declined because I had a guest with me back in our seats. Big regret ! But what a delightful night !!
