Quartets Led By Guitarists You Likely Aren't Familiar With...But Should Be.
This week on INSIDE JAZZ Ron and Jim present two records that feature quartets led by guitarists that aren’t Wes Montgomery, Kenny Burrell, Joe Pass, Grant Green, Jim Hall or Barney Kessell. In the first hour Ron offers up the 1989 album SELF-PORTRAIT IN SWING by Joshua Breakstone. In the second hour Jim follows up with the 1979 album I THOUGHT ABOUT YOU by Irish guitarist Louis Stewart (which has recently been reissued by Livia Records).
