This week on INSIDE JAZZ Ron and Jim present two records led by two tenor sax duos with more than their horns in common. All four tenor saxophonists performed with one of the editions of Woody Herman’s Herd. In the first hour Ron features the album BODY AND SOUL by Al Cohn and Zoot Sims. In the second hour Jim presents TENORS HEAD-ON by Bill Perkins and Richie Kamuca.

Greetings gentlemen. Looking forward to another epic show!! Must say, every time I listen to Zoot Sims , it reminds me of my second favourite character on The Muppets…..after Animal, of course. Zoot was always the scooby-doo-wow Kool Cat on the sax Loved him!! No doubt in for an evening of great musicianship!!!
