During the 1970's Keith Jarrett led two quartets - the American Quartet, and the European Quartet. Jarrett wrote compositions specifically for each quartet based on the personalities of each the musicians. Today we play a record by each of the quartets and discuss the similarities and differences of these two ensembles and their respective recordings on your bi-weekly jazz record listening group - INSIDE JAZZ.
