Good morning gentlemen. I am so looking forward to the Art Pepper album in particular. I absolutely love the entire concept of your show and never miss it I hope it generates some new converts/fans of jazz music. You make it very accessible to any new initiates who might stumble upon the show. I promote the show to friends at every opportunity. Thanks for all of the time you both invest to produce each episode!!!!!

This Charlie Haden is simply mesmerizing guys! Art Pepper's Smack Up was superb, however, Charlie is winning the evening with my ears this sunny spring late afternoon. What a slick groove, man!!!

Phantastik show, gentlemen! When I turned on the radio, I thought it was Ornette; turns out it was A. Pepper doing an Ornette toon. I wonder if I was at the same Quartet West show in Montreal as one of you. Was it the night Pat Metheny Sat in?

7:16 PM, March 24th, 2024
Ron Steeds (host)
Thanks for the kind words, David. Jim said you two saw different shows. Pat Metheny didn’t play the night he saw Quartet West perform. He wishes he had been to the show you were at.

Jim estimated the show he attended was in 1988.

Twas a good show indeed, at the Spectrum on Ste Catherine, and the only time I have seen Pat. Definitely prior to 1993. The enthusiasm you guys have for Ernie Watts is bang on. He is deeply musical.
